To register a death, the following requirements are necessary:

The deceased must be a Chilean national of origin, or naturalized, or
of another nationality, married with a Chilean citizen with a
previously registered marriage in a Chilean consulate

The death certificate given by the responsible local authority must be
presented, which must include the cause of death

The Chilean passport of the deceased must be brought so it can be
annulled

IIf the deceased was married in Chile, the “Family Book” (Libreta de
Familia) must be presented and/or the marriage certificate with some
valid document of identification, for example, Chilean ID Card (Cédula
de Identidad Chilena)

The person that it is requesting the registration of death must
present valid identification

In case of a deceased minor, the full names of the parents are
required
