Tourist Visa (single or multiple visa)

American citizen do not need a tourism visa to go to Chile. They need valid passport, round trip ticket and to pay an entry fee of US$ 160.00, at The International Airport "Arturo Merino Benitez" in Santiago, and will be able to stay in Chile for 90 days.  The reciprocity fee of US$ 160, is for American citizens only, paid in cash (US$ dollar). This one time charge is good for the life of your passport.

The citizens of the countries that require visa to travel as a tourist to Chile need the following:

1.  Send an e-mail to Maria Fernanda Romero cgchilela01@yahoo.com requesting a tourism visa or business visa 
2.  Maria Fernanda Romero will send via  e-mail the requirements and 3 application forms. You have to fill out the application forms and send them back to her by e-mail. Please, do not change the word format nor sign the form.
3.  Once you have all the requirements, you have to send them and the application forms to Maria Fernanda Romero by regular mail (express mail, FedEx, UPS, DHL, etc.) or bring them in person. 
4. d) The process takes about 3 to 4 weeks.

Requirements for tourism visa:

1. Valid passport
2.  Green Card or valid visa for USA
3.  Letter from your employer with signature and address on it.
4.  Hotel reservation (address and telephone number). If you have friends or family in Chile, we need his/her name, address and telephone number.
5.  Proof of income (the last two Bank statements or the last two pay checks)
6.  Airline ticket or E-ticket. We do not accept itineraries
7.  1 photo passport size (2"x2") color or blak & white
8.  Fill out an the 3 application forms (do not forget to send them back to Maria Fernanda Romero)

If you require multiple entries in, this type of visa will only be valid for one trip. If you need a future entry to Chile you must apply again. The fees for the visa vary according to the applicants passport (country of issue). We accept money orders (made out to the Consulate General of Chile), cash or company checks. We do not accept personal checks.

Business Visa:  

The citizen of the countries that require visa to travel as a business to Chile need the following:

1.  Send an e-mail to Maria Fernanda Romero cgchilela01@yahoo.com and asking her for a business visa 
2.  Maria Fernanda Romero will send you by e-mail, the requirements and 3 application forms. You have to fill out those application forms and send them back to her by e-mail. Please, nor change the word format neither sign the form.
3.  Once you have all the requirements, you have to send them and the application forms to Maria by regular mail (express mail, FedEx, UPS, DHL, etc.) or bring them in person. 
4.  The process takes about 3 to 4 weeks.

Requirements for business visa:

1.  Valid passport.
2.  Green Card or valid visa for USA.
3.  Letter  from the company, stating name, passport number of each businessman and their activities.  Letter must specify name and title of signer. We accept original letter only. 
4.  Letter from the inviting Company, stating name, passport number length of stay and activities in Chile.  Letter must specify name and title of signer. We accept original letter only or fax sent directly from Company in Chile to this Consulate. No exceptions.
5.  Round trip ticket  (we do not accept itineraries).
6. Hotel reservation (hotel’s name, address and telephone number), if staying with family or friends, please provide name, address and phone number.
7.  1 photo passport size (2”x2”).
8.  Fill out an the 3 application forms (do not forget to send them back to Maria Fernanda Romero)
